Titan

The @stro object for the week of 10/04/1999

Titan. Titan is a moon of Saturn and was discovered in 1655 by Dutch astronomer Christian Huygens. Titan is thought to be composed of 1/2 ice and 1/2 rock with possible oceans of liquid methane. It will be the target of the Huygens probe due to be dropped from the Cassini space probe in November 2004.
