The Dumbell Nebula. Discovered by Charles Messier on July 12, 1764 this planetary nebula is also known as the "Dumbell Nebula". Its brightness is around magnitude 7.3. Long seen in many astrophotos, this nebula resembles an end of a dumbell and has beaufiful blues and pinks in images. However, like other deep sky objects, you won't see those colors visually as it simply appears like a dim green bubble in telescopes.
